43 teams took part in the Wells GC 3-Ball Bowmaker Open, in excellent summer conditions, especially after the long awaited rainfall overnight.

Mike Metcalfe continued his excellent supporting role in leading his team, Stephen Davis (Mendip GC) & Robert Hardy (Wheathill GC) to 87 points winning the best home team prize on countback from Aidan Guy, David Cunningham & Jason Sykes.  Nick Gumm, Paul Ticehurst (Warren GC) & Greg Ticehurst (Warren GC) 86 pts  were third home team, with Neil Hawkins, Stuart Austwick & Tony Wiseman fourth on 85 points.

The first visitors team were Andrew Wallis, Terry Williams & Max Grant  (Isle of Wedmore) 83 points.  John Parham (Mendip GC), Ian Parham (Mendip GC) & Matt Parham (Burnham & Berrow GC) with 81 points were second and third Lewis Knox, Matthew Cornick & Justin Merritt (Weymouth GC) 80 points on countback from Pat Vaughan, Glyn Harris, Dave Channon (Minehead & West Somerset GC)
