54 Hole Challenge

Club Captain Tina Davies and Ladies’ Captain Philippa Gowen took on the challenge of 54 holes in one day (no buggies!) in aid of Cancer Research and the irrigation project. An exciting first round saw Tina play four under her handicap and take an acrobatic tumble avoiding a ball. No damage done! By the third round Philippa had warmed up and played one over her handicap. Tina was still marching along like her army days. Both ladies played superbly, were in high spirits throughout and raised almost £2,000 in the process.
